When I tipped my toe into the realm of the nonprofit world in 2007, I very quickly discovered that, although there are many resources out there for nonprofit organizations, the particular needs (and budgets!) of small and emerging organizations often fell below the radar, or were missed completely. Things like a foundational understanding of legal, structural, and financial expectations. Or the roles and responsibilities of a board of directors, with and without staff. How to raise the appropriate funds you need to do the work-and so much more!
